Abel Tasman is that dreamy slice of coastline where golden beaches meet lush native bush, and everything just feels a little bit magical. It’s the kind of place where you kick off your shoes, jump in a kayak, or wander the tracks with the sun on your back and birdsong all around. The water here is a sparkling turquoise, the sand’s soft underfoot, and little coves and inlets seem to pop up around every corner.

You can do the park however suits you—whether that’s a full-on multi-day hike along the coastal track, or just a chilled boat ride and a beach picnic. There are seals lounging on the rocks, cheeky weka in the bush, and sometimes dolphins cruising through the bay if you're lucky.
